Zeiss Radiance: Advancing Cinematic Innovation

Zeiss Radiance
Advancing Cinematic Innovation
On February 3rd, 2025, Futura Foundation for the Arts proudly supported an exclusive workshop, in collaboration with Zeiss and Canada Film Equipment, Canadian Society of Cinematographer and Maison Film Studios, showcasing Zeiss’ groundbreaking Radiance lens technology. Hosted at Canada Film Equipment in Mississauga, Ontario, the event provided an immersive experience for filmmakers, cinematographers, and industry professionals eager to explore the latest advancements in lens innovation.
The workshop featured multiple speakers, including emerging Toronto-based cinematographer Andres P. Galicia, who brought fresh creative perspectives to the discussion. As rising talent in the industry, he had the unique opportunity to co-lead the workshop alongside Zeiss representatives Jean Bouchut (ZEISS) and Michel Losier (CineCraft). Jean Marc, flying in from New York, and Michel, arriving from Montreal, shared their deep technical expertise, offering hands-on demonstrations and insights into the capabilities of Zeiss’ Radiance lenses on multiple cameras.
With a strong turnout and dynamic discussions, the event fostered an engaging and collaborative environment where artists and industry experts connected to refine their craft. This workshop exemplifies the Foundation’s commitment to supporting artistic growth and innovation in the film and media landscape. By championing initiatives that brings communities together and bridge art and technology, the foundation continues to empower creatives to push the boundaries of cinematic storytelling.
